Join us at Tundra Ice Cream during the month of May to support Brain Tumor Awareness Month!

During the month of May, come support Gray Matters at Tundra Ice Cream by sampling one of the Turtle themed flavors and purchase a paper turtle to freeze out brain tumors and support the Gray Matters mission!

Raffle tickets will be available through the entire month for $5. Enter for your chance to win personal training sessions, restaurant gift certificates and more!  Winners will be selected on May 28th at the Beach Party!

May 7th – BRAIN FREEZE GAME NIGHT – We will be giving out “stress brains” while supplies last.  Bring your “stress brain” back during the week to receive a  discount on your ice cream purchase.

May 14th – FREEZE BRAIN TUMOR PARTY – Join Gray Matters to freeze out brain tumors and enjoy the turtle themed ice cream flavors!

May 21st – SCHOOL’S OUT PARTY – Gray Matters will be on hand with temporary tattoos.  Show your turtle tattoo and receive a discount on your ice cream purchase.

May 28th – BEACH PARTY – Join Gray Matters for special discounts on ice cream and draw winners for the Gray Matters basket raffle.

Thank You to Everyone who Attended the David M. Bailey Concert!

A big Thank You to everyone who was able to join us on February 5th! 110 people came out and supported the Gray Matters Foundation and enjoyed David’s wit, humor, candor and passion.  Together we were able to raise over $2,000 to continue our work supporting and empowering brain tumor patients and survivors.  Without all of your support, Gray Matters wouldn’t be able to do any of the things that we do.

Formal Recognition for Brain Tumor Awareness Month

The U.S. House of Representatives passed House Resolution 1124 (H.Res. 1124) on May 21, 2008 and officially expressed the sense of the Congress that a National Brain Tumor Awareness Month should be established.

Gray Matters Founder Featured on Local News

Lanette Veres, Founder & President of the Gray Matters Foundation, was profiled as part of the “Positively Arizona!” feature of television station KPHO. The show spotlights “Valley Residents Making a Positive Influence” and Lanette’s work to support brain tumor patients is featured. Lanette is shown creating one of her signature gift card envelope – decorated with stickers of course!

Gray Matters Foundation Receives 501(c)(3) Designation

We are proud to announce that the IRS has granted the Gray Matters Foundation tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, effective November, 2007. Our application was approved after only a short 8-week period and we believe it is because our mission is such an important one to the community and brain tumor patients. All donations to the Foundation will now be tax exempt to the full extent allowed.
